Real talk, I never liked the term "nerd" applied to black folk, it just don't fit. Now I know some lames & corn balls but not any "nerds". Black folks who I've seen into "Nerdy things" tend to infuse some kinda style and also do a wide array of other things. The media package that is "nerd" just escapes the black experience in my view.

That's why I also hate the term "blerd". I'm like "bruh, you trying to hard wit dat"
